It was an all-round successful Saturday afternoon for the new champions as Bayern enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 away win at Hoffenheim in the last Bundesliga match of the 2024/25 season. Unsurprisingly, the coach and players were satisfied after the game. “I also told the guys: For me, it doesn't matter how much you've won in your career – you should always be happy as if it were your first title,” said Vincent Kompany. Aleksandar Pavlović added: “It was fun. We wanted to score even more goals at the end.” fcbayern.com has compiled all the reactions to the game.
Reaction to the game against Hoffenheim

Vincent Kompany: “I also told the guys: For me, it doesn't matter how much you've won in your career – you should always be happy as if it were your first title. We'll celebrate and be as happy as if it was our first – and then we'll move on. I hope we win another ‘first’ title next season.”

Thomas Müller: “We were constantly on the prowl, and I also wanted to send out the signal that we wanted to score more goals. It almost worked with the 100th goal of the season, but in the end we're not playing for the sake of breaking records, even if you naturally want to get a taste of them when you're so close. What happened in front of the fans after the game shows that the mutual appreciation is enormous. I'm more of a fan of positive emotions. Today was a successful finish. The appreciation towards me is huge, and there’s no better feeling than that.”
Harry Kane: “I'm always trying to improve, but it wouldn't have been possible without my teammates. I'm having a great time. Tomorrow at Marienplatz will certainly be fun. It's the first time for me to celebrate a title with the fans in our city. I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully it will be a nice, sunny day – then we'll have a good time together. It's been a good season for many reasons. Now we'll enjoy it and recover well for the Club World Cup.”

Aleksandar Pavlović: “It was fun. We wanted to score even more goals at the end. But yes, it was a good game. There was a lot of energy and emotion. I've been waiting a long time to celebrate with everyone at Marienplatz. I'm really looking forward to celebrating with the fans. My family will be there, everyone will be there – it's going to be cool.”
Reaction from the Hoffenheim camp
Andreas Schicker (managing director): “We know that it was a pretty bad season, and now we're just really relieved that we can play in the Bundesliga again next season. We realise that something has to change – it can't go on like this. I think we played a decent game in the first half. We didn't let much get past us. Bayern were ultimately very effective and showed their quality. In the end it wasn’t really a close game. It’s another 4-0 loss – we know we’ve conceded far too many goals, and that's what we have to start working on. In the end, we got off lightly.”
Christian Ilzer (head coach): “Congratulations to Bayern on their victory and the title. It was a very well-deserved win. We were only in control for a short time after the break, otherwise Bayern were very efficient. Bayern clearly controlled the game. Now we're drawing a line under the season and moving on.”
Tom Bischof (midfielder): “This game was extremely important to me – this is the club I've played for since my youth. And if my club stays in the Bundesliga now, I'm extremely happy that I'll be playing against Hoffenheim again next year. Yes, now’s the perfect time to finish because we know that we shouldn’t be this far down the table. Our aim is to stay at the top. But, of course, it's a big weight off our shoulders now. That was extremely important for us.”
