It was the conclusion to an excellent Bundesliga campaign when freshly crowned champions FC Bayern downed TSG Hoffenheim 4-0 in the last match of the season. One of the outstanding players of the season opened the scoring on 17 May: Michael Olise. The Frenchman curled a free-kick over the wall and into the net from 25 yards out after 32 minutes. His left-footed finish left TSG keeper Oliver Baumann without a chance. FC Bayern fans now chose his precise free-kick as their May Goal of the Month.
Olise well ahead of Sané and Kane
Olise received 40.72 percent of the votes, ahead of Leroy Sané and his goal to make it 3-2 at Leizpig (24.23%). Harry Kane’s goal in Sinsheim (18.62%) came in third. It was Olise’s first FCB Goal of the Month in his maiden season at FC Bayern even though he stood out in a number of games in 2024/25. Jamal Musiala claimed three Goal of the Month prizes (November, February, April).
