Bayern’s first Bundesliga game against Hamburg in seven years was barely three minutes old when Serge Gnabry made his mark and set the champions on course for victory. The 30-year-old’s movement inside the box cleared space to open up a gap, allowing him to hammer home his shot from an angle right of goal past goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes and into the far top corner. Not a bad effort at all – in fact, the best of September by a Bayern player according to fans.
Gnabry beats Kane and Oberdorf

Gnabry’s hammer shot saw him take 37.9 percent of votes from supporters, beating out Harry Kane’s second in the same 5-0 win over HSV (25.9 percent). Third place went to Lena Oberdorf as she made it 2-0 in the Bundesliga win over RB Leipzig (20.5 percent).
The Goal of the Month award is the icing on the cake of Gnabry’s impressive early-season form, in which he’s scored three and set up a further three goals in six Bundesliga outings so far in 2025/26.
