
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge enjoyed a big party for his 70th birthday among many of his closest friends from his time as a Bayern player and club boss. It also saw the new Kalle’s Bar opened at the Allianz Arena to host the event. “My birthday was three weeks ago, but this evening is now the best because I’ve once again got to see so many faces of people with whom I associate so many great memories. Thank you all for coming,” the man of the moment said.
Alongside speeches and live music, those in attendance enjoyed the exchange of countless stories and anecdotes as they reunited after many years. Rummenigge was a defining figure at Bayern first as a player and then as vice-president and above all as long-time CEO. Together with Franz Beckenbauer and Uli Hoeneß, he’s regarded as one of the architects of the modern Bayern.
