Bayern’s squad will be back at Marienplatz again this year as Vincent Kompany and his team get to celebrate their 2025/26 Bundesliga title with the fans from the town hall balcony on Sunday, 17 May (from 12:30 CEST). The following day, at 15:00, Munich’s new mayor, Dominik Krause, will also host the women’s team at the town hall to sign the city’s guest book in the Great Council Chamber and pose for photos on the balcony. FC Bayern Women play their final match of the season away at Hamburg on the Sunday, meaning a joint celebration, as in previous years, will not be possible this time.
Look back on last year’s celebrations
Anyone who can’t be there in person on Sunday won’t miss a thing on fcbayern.com. The traditional title celebrations will be broadcast via a free live stream in German, English and Spanish, and the live stream will also be available on FC Bayern’s Facebook and YouTube channels. For those who can’t follow the action via the stream, there will be a live blog featuring photos and videos capturing the atmosphere at Marienplatz. Further details on the party at Marienplatz, which will be hosted as always by stadium presenter Stephan Lehmann, will follow.
Whilst the women’s team were presented with their trophy after their 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in their final home game of the season, the men’s team will receive their trophy on Saturday following their season finale against Köln at the Allianz Arena in front of 75,000 fans.
