The England national team, led by Harry Kane, secured their place in the World Cup semi-finals in the early hours of Sunday morning. The Three Lions beat Norway 2-1 after extra time in a hard-fought clash in Miami.
After the Scandinavians took the lead through a superb goal from Andreas Schjelderup (36’), Jude Bellingham (45+2’) equalised shortly before half-time. The teams went into the break with the score at 1–1 – and it remained that way after 90 minutes. Early in extra time, Bellingham (93') scored the winner, sending the English fans wild.

Kane was also over the moon after reaching the last four. “It feels incredible,” said the Bayern Munich striker. “It was a tough match that took a lot out of every single player.” The captain of the Three Lions, who played the full 120 minutes, quickly set his sights on the next challenge: In Wednesday’s semi-final (21:00 CEST), his team will face reigning world champions Argentina in Atlanta. “We’re enjoying this moment, we will recover and we’re looking forward to the semi-final.”
