Welcome to Munich, Ismael Saibari! The new signing trained for the first time at FC Bayern on Saturday, completing an individual session at Säbener Straße. Saibari was involved in the World Cup with Morocco and scored three goals, but the attacking midfielder missed the quarter-final against France because of injury. Now he’s getting started with FCB.
Saibari won’t travel with the team to the Audi Summer Tour. “Ismael is eager and would’ve liked to take part in the Asia tour, but he should finish his rehab in peace so that he’s available after the tour,” explained board member for sport Max Eberl on Wednesday. “The plan is that we do the final phase of pre-season with him.”
