FCB Women come from behind to beat TSG

FC Bayern Women beat TSG Hoffenheim 3-1 to win their fifth league win in a row. Munich went a goal down at the Dietmar-Hopp-Stadion (25') before Klara Bühl levelled the scores (34').  Alara Şehitler put Munich in front and Pernille Harder rounded off the final scoreline shortly before the final whistle.

The victory means Bayern top the table on 35 points with a goal difference of 37-11, but Eintracht Frankfurt might draw level with a victory over Potsdam.

#WeRemember: Joint sign

Before the match kicked off, the two teams sent out an important signal together. FC Bayern and TSG Hoffenheim displayed a banner commemorating the crimes of National Socialism and stood together against all forms of discrimination and exclusion.

Zadrazil and Kett return

Magdalena Eriksson was sidelined with injury, with Sarah Zadrazil and Franziska Kett returning to the squad. Mala Grohs is building up match practice with the reserve team after her return to training and Magou Doucouré is still in rehab. Head coach Alexander Straus also had to make do without long-term absentees Lena Oberdorf, Katharina Naschenweng and Georgia Stanway.

Bayern come from behind

FCB Women struggled with TSG's high pressing at first. Giulia Gwinn had the first chance when she aimed too high after ten minutes. Munich slowly but surely asserted their dominance now, but Dominika Grabowska put the home side in front in the 25th minute. FCB were rewarded after 33 minutes, when Harder flicked on a Gwinn cross for Klara Bühl to convert on the volley.

FCB turn the tide

It was a balanced affair after the restart. TSG keeper Laura Dick denied Bühl, with Munich running up in vain against Hoffenheim's compact defence now. Ena Mahmutović saved from Melissa Kössler, but Şehitler made it two for Bayern after 70 minutes. Harder rounded off the final scoreline shortly before the final whistle (90').
