FC Bayern Women remain unbeaten this season after a 4-0 win at home to Werder Bremen in the Google Pixel Bundesliga. Ariana Caruso’s maiden Bayern goal opened the scoring before Momoko Tanikawa doubled the first-half lead. Substitute Linda Dallmann added a third and Lea Schüller rounded things off with a fourth goal in the second half.

First Bundesliga goals for Caruso & Tanikawa
Tanikawa had two good opportunities in the opening phase but was denied by goalkeeper Mariela El Sherif and also the frame of the goal. Bayern were dominant but had to remain patient until the half-hour mark when a corner was cleared only as far as Georgia Stanway, who found Caruso inside the box to put away her first competitive goal in Munich red. Stanway was the instigator again only three minutes later when she played in Tanikawa on the edge of the box. The Japanese attacker exchanged a one-two with Schüller before slotting past El Sherif to double the advantage with her maiden Bundesliga goal.

Two more in second half
Bremen had their first effort of the game after the restart through Ricarda Walkling before the pattern of play resumed as Bayern controlled matters. The champions had their third goal when Dallmann put away just her third touch since coming on. Schüller then rounded things off in the 78th minute by turning in Caruso’s low cross.
Champions League in Barcelona, big match in Wolfsburg
The German double winners are next in action on Tuesday when they kick off their Champions League campaign in Barcelona at 9pm CEST. They then face a domestic trip to Wolfsburg the following Saturday (2pm).
