Title chase: Crunch week for Bayern teams
The international break gives FC Bayern fans another chance to catch their breath – because a cracker of a week awaits everyone in red! The Bundesliga title fight, Champions League and DFB Cup deciders for the women's side and a relegation six-pointer for the reserves in their bid to stay in the 3.Liga. You can't get more exciting than that!
What a match to look forward to on Saturday evening! Bayern against Leipzig, first against second – the battle for the title. An absolute must-watch for all who follow FC Bayern! Especially when you consider what happened in the reverse fixture, which would get the adrenaline running for any football fan. On that occasion, both teams settled for a point after a pulsating 3-3 draw, and everything points to another dramatic encounter on Saturday, 3 April, at 18:30 CEST. As always, there will be free Webradio and extensive live ticker on fcbayern.com. In Germany, the game will be broadcast live on Sky Sport.
Get up for the game by watching what happened last time these two sides met:
Women with big matches to come
But it's not just the men's team that are entering a decisive phase in the final third of the season - the women's team also have trophies at stake. Head coach Jens Scheuer's team are on the verge of making history once again and reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League for the second time in the club's history. To reach this milestone, the Munich women will have to consolidate their 3-0 first leg victory in the return leg against FC Rosengård on Thursday, 1 April, at 19:00 CEST. The fixture will be broadcast live via Youtube livestream, FC Bayern.tv live and fcbayern.com, so you should have no excuse for not sitting in front of the TV on Thursday evening to cheer on the team!
If that weren't enough of a spectacle, the week reaches its climax for the FCB Women on Sunday. Just one day after the men's match in Leipzig, it's first versus second for the women's side too – but in an all-or-nothing game in the semi-finals of the DFB Cup against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday, 4 April, 14:00 CEST.
Reserves fighting for survival
If you can't get enough of FCB this weekend, there's also the 3.Liga match between VfB Lübeck and FC Bayern II, kicking off at 14:00 CEST on Saturday, 3 April. For head coach Holger Seitz and his team, it's a relegation six-pointer as the side fight to stay in the league they won last year.
So, Bayern fans: get ready, get your Bayern shirt on and wave your scarf! This week promises to be a cracker!
