President Herbert Hainer: "FC Bayern are strong in depth and I'm pleased we have so many successful athletes."

"I think it's great the city hosts these sports awards to recognise the athletes - who put in so much energy, time and hard work. Of course, as president, I'm proud we have so many Bayern athletes here today. FC Bayern are strong in depth and I'm pleased we have so many successful athletes," said president Hainer after the event at the Old Congress Hall.

FC Bayern Women captain Lina Magull spoke about the "best moment of my life".

Bayern captain Neuer, whose team was honoured for winning the German title in the 2020/21 season, found it "nice that people get to know each other better here. It's also important you don't just look at football, but also appreciate the other athletes." His counterpart on the women's team, Lina Magull, was pleased that "the success of last season is being recognised once again. Even one year later, we're still incredibly proud to have won the German championship. That was one of the best moments of my life." The FC Bayern Women also won the title in 2020/21.
