Congratulations also to Tainara de Souza da Silva for winning the Copa America and to Lea Schüller for being named Women’s Footballer of the Year. Karin Danner, FC Bayern Women
Head of women’s football Karin Danner congratulated the players on their fantastic achievements.

Karin Danner, head of women's football: “We are very happy to welcome Georgia Stanway and Tainara de Souza da Silva, a European champion and a Copa America winner. The FC Bayern Women congratulate them warmly and we are very happy to see them both chasing titles in a Bayern jersey. I would also like to congratulate our Germany national team players on their runner-up finish at Euro 2022. They have inspired the whole of Germany with their team and their football. The fact that Klara Bühl and Giulia Gwinn were voted into the team of the tournament and Lea Schüller was named Women’s Footballer of the Year on the day of the final is highly deserved and speaks for itself. We are very proud of what our players have achieved and accomplished with their national teams - in addition to Germany and England, this also applies to Iceland, Austria and Sweden. Our players have contributed significantly to the success of their teams and have inspired an audience of millions. We will take this enthusiasm with the entire team into the new season and hopefully fascinate many small and large Bayern fans.”

Lina Magull: “I’m very happy that our club was so enthusiastic about the national teams and the tournament throughout the entire European Championship and supported us. We felt the support. The reception on Sunday in the Arena shows the club's appreciation for us players and our achievements. I am very happy that FC Bayern is giving women's football this stage it needs to continue to grow and develop its potential in society.”
