A total of 18 FC Bayern Women players have been called up for their national team in the February international break, which comes between Matchday 12 in the Bundesliga and the rearranged game with Turbine Potsdam. fcbayern.com has an overview of which players are away and where.

Home games for Germany and England

Both Germany and England are keeping things local this break with home games. Carolin Simon, Klara Bühl, Linda Dallmann, Sydney Lohmann, Lea Schüller and Lina Magull are all involved for the former as they play a training match against Ireland before taking on Sweden in Duisburg on 21 February. Georgia Stanway is in the Lionesses’ squad competing in the Arnold Clark Cup, where the European champions face South Korea (16 February), Italy (19 February) and Belgium (22 February).

Kumagai and Tainara in the USA

Saki Kumagai and Tainara are with Japan and Brazil respectively at the SheBelieves Cup in the USA. The club teammates are on opposing sides in the first game on 16 February. Japan than take on the hosts on 19 February and Canada on 22 February. Brazil have Canada first and then the USA on the same dates.

Iceland at the Pinatar Cup

Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir, Karólína Lea Vilhjálmsdóttir and goalkeeper Cecilía Rán Rúnarsdóttir are in Spain with Iceland in the Pinatar Cup. They take on Scotland (15 February), Wales (18 February) and the Philippines (21 February).

Malta, Cyprus and France

Sarah Zadrazil (Austria), Ivana Rudelić (Croatia) and Tuva Hansen (Norway) are also off to warmer climes. Austria will contest two friendly matches against the Netherlands on 17 and 21 February. Croatia are in the Cyprus Cup against Finland (16 February), Romania (19 February) and Hungary (22 February). Norway are competing in the Tournoi de France against Uruguay (15 February), Denmark (18 February) and hosts France (21 February).

U19 teams

Three young Frauen players are also representing their countries, with Franziska Kett and Laura Gloning taking on England (16 February), Italy (18 February) and Sweden (21 February) at the 10 Nations Cup with Germany’s U19s. Emilie Bragstad has one friendly against Portugal with Norway’s U19s.
