Germany win one and lose one
The German team featuring Bayern players Lina Magull, Klara Bühl, Lea Schüller, Mala Grohs and Sydney Lohmann started the international break with a 1-0 win against the Netherlands. Midfielder Lohmann scored the goal in the narrow win over the Oranje Leeuwinnen with a header. In the second game against the South American champions from Brazil, the Germans fell to a 2-1 defeat.
The international break was extremely successful for the Austrian team led by Sarah Zadrazil. First, the ÖFB women won 3-2 against Belgium, and in their second game they held the upper hand with a 2-0 win over the Czech Republic.
England win Finalissima premiere
FCB player Georgia Stanway celebrated a successful Finalissima premiere with the Lionesses. England beat Brazil's Seleção 4-2 on penalties at London's Wembley Stadium, with Stanway scoring. In the second game, the reigning European champions suffered a defeat to World Cup hosts Australia (2-0).
The Icelandic Bayern trio of Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir, Cecilía Rán Rúnarsdóttir and Karólína Lea Vilhjálmsdóttir drew 1-1 against New Zealand but went on to celebrate a remarkable 2-1 win over Switzerland, thanks to a goal from Viggósdóttir. It was a mixed bag for Saki Kumagai and the Japan national team, beating Portugal 2-1 before losing 1-0 to Denmark.
Serbia, Croatia and Norway
A successful international trip for Jovana Damnjanović! The Bayern forward contributed a goal in Serbia's 6-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina. In the second game against South Africa, the Munich striker again celebrated a 3-2 win with Serbia.
Ivana Rudelić faced Greece twice with Croatia. In the first game, the teams drew 1-1 thanks to a goal by the Bayern striker. In the second game, the Croatian side lost 2-1 to the Greeks.
Norway's high-scoring encounters
Recent signing Tuva Hansen lost out with Norway in the game against Spain (4-2). In the derby duel game against the Swedes, the Norwegians fought for a draw (3-3) with a rousing late comeback. The Norway U23 national team with Emelie Bragstad won both of their friendlies. A 3-0 win over Belgium was followed by a 2-1 win over Italy.
Successful European Championship qualification for Germany U19s
Germany's U19s with Bayern players Laura Gloning, Franziska Kett and Dafina Redzepi successfully qualified for the final round of the European Championship in Belgium in July. First, the German selection won 5-0 against Ireland, before a huge victory three days later in a 10-0 win over Croatia. Bayern II striker Redzepi scored in the win over the Croatians. The successful qualification was rounded off with a 2-0 victory over Norway.
