In addition to Klara Bühl, several FCB players will once again be away on international duty this summer.

Preparation at the FC Bayern Campus

As a large part of the squad will be playing at the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand during pre-season, FCB will forego a training camp and prepare for the new campaign at home, at the FC Bayern Campus. In addition to the match against Sparta, two more demanding friendlies have been scheduled: On 23 August, the Munich side will play their league rivals TSG Hoffenheim, with the venue still to be announced. At the end of pre-season, the Reds will host Fortuna Sittard at 18:00 CEST on 1 September at the FC Bayern Campus. The match against the third-placed finishers in the Eredivisie last season will be a final stern test before the league campaign gets underway. Information on admission to the Campus stadium is still to be announced.

First competitive match in the DFB Cup

The first competitive match of the 2023/24 season is scheduled for the weekend of 9/10 September in the second round of the DFB Cup (FCB have a bye in round 1). The opponents for the match will only be determined after the first round has been played on the second weekend in August. On the weekend of 15-17 September, the reigning league champions will start the defence of their title in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga.
