18 FCB Women players called up for international duty

The UEFA Women's Nations League continues with Matchdays 5 and 6 as the group stage of the inaugural competition comes to a close. There'll be four direct clashes between FC Bayern Women players during this international break. The Nations League also acts as the qualifying tournament for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, where only two other European countries can take part alongside hosts France. Here are all the details on which players are playing when and where.

Germany in top-of-the-table clash against Denmark, followed by Wales

A total of five FCB Women players are in the Germany squad with Giulia Gwinn, Linda Dallmann, Klara Bühl, Sydney Lohmann and Lina Magull. Lea Schüller was also selected but had to withdraw due to injury. The German team have collected nine points in the tournament to date and are second in Group A3 behind Denmark. After losing 2-0 to the current leaders on the opening matchday, interim coach Horst Hrubesch's side have comfortably won their last three games against (4-0 and 2-0 against Iceland, 5-1 against Wales).

Germany now take on the unbeaten Danes on Friday 1 December in the crunch match in the group. If Bühl and Co win, they'll have their fate in their own hands going into the final game. Goal difference could then prove decisive, as a Germany win would leave both nations on 12 points. Kick-off at Rostock's  Ostseestadion is at 20:30*. Four days later, on Tuesday 5 December, the DFB team face Wales at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea (kick-off 19:30).

England up against Netherlands and Scotland

The Lionesses find themselves in third place in Group 1 of League A and needing a win against leaders Netherlands in the first of their two upcoming matches to still be in with a chance of winning the group. FCB teammates Georgia Stanway and Jill Baijings come face-to-face at Wembley on Friday 1 December at 20:45. England then meet Samantha Kerr and her Scotland team on the final matchday, kicking off at 20:45 on Tuesday 5 December in Glasgow.

Before that, Kerr will be in action against Belgium on Matchday 5. Kick-off on the first day of Advent is at 20:30. Baijings and the Dutch then meet Belgium on the final matchday, with that game taking place at the same time as the clash between Stanway and Kerr.

Austria duo Sarah Zadrazil and Katharina Naschenweng face France on Friday 1 December at 21:10. They then take on Norway and FCB teammate Tuva Hansen on Tuesday 5 December at 19:15, the Norwegians playing Portugal before that at 19:00 on 1 December.

Last week's birthday girl Jovana Damnjanović has been called up by Serbia once again. First up for them is an away match against Greece on Friday 1 December (16:00) before a home game against Ukraine (5 December, 19:00).

Iceland and Sweden face group leaders

Glódís Viggósdóttir and Iceland visit Wales.
After a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture, Glódís Viggósdóttir and Iceland now visit Wales.

Bayern captain Glódís Viggósdóttir leads her country into battle against Wales on 1 December at 20:45. Iceland's Nations League campaign will end against Denmark on Tuesday 5 December (19:30) as they can no longer qualify for the semi-finals.

After scoring in FCB Women's last two games in Bremen and in Paris, Magdalena Eriksson joins up with her national team full of confidence. For Sweden, qualification is difficult but still possible. With a five-point deficit to Group A4 leaders Spain and a significantly worse goal difference, they're reliant on the world champions dropping points. First of all the Swedes need to do their own job against Switzerland on Matchday 5. Kick-off on Friday 1 December is at 20:00 in Lucerne. Should Sweden win and Spain lose on the same day, then the two nations will meet to decide the group winners on Tuesday 5 December at 19:00 in Malaga.

Four youngsters called up for youth teams

Several of Bayern Women's youngsters will also be involved in the upcoming international period. Alara Şehitler and Laura Gloning are both in the Germany U19 squad for the first set of EURO qualifiers in Finland, with Carla Schwarz on standby. The team play three fixtures against Israel (29 November), Norway (2 December) and Finland (5 December).

Inès Belloumou has been selected for the French U23 side, who are in action against their English counterparts on 30 November and against Norway on 4 December. Finally, Claudia Petruziello has been called up by Italy U17 for a double-header against Finland on 1 and 3 December.
