Karin Danner turns 65

Long-time head of FC Bayern Women, Karin Danner, turns 65 today, Monday 22 January. fcbayern.com wishes her a happy birthday!

Born in Marnheim, she is regarded as a visionary of women's football at FC Bayern and has dedicated herself to her favourite club for many decades. "FC Bayern is my life. It is in my heart and will remain in my heart until the end," said Danner, who handed over her position to Bianca Rech last summer after more than 28 years.

Danner began her career at FC Bayern at the age of 18 and was to have a decisive influence on the club over the next five decades. During her time with the Munich team, she was twice a championship runner-up (1979 and 1982). She also enjoyed numerous success as the first full-time football manager at FCB Women. Since taking office in 1995, the Reds have won a total of four Bundesliga titles (2015, 2016, 2021, 2023) and one DFB Cup triumph (2012). In 2024, Danner will now be able to celebrate turning 65 in private. We wish her all the best!
