The UEFA Women's Nations League is back! Six FCB players will be battling for a place in the final when they take to the pitch with their national teams in the semi-finals of the tournament on Friday, 23 February. The Nations League is also a qualifying tournament for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where just two other European countries can take part alongside hosts France. Find out here which FC Bayern players will be in action during the international break, when they'll be playing, and which teams they'll come up against.
Germany up against France
With Giulia Gwinn, Linda Dallmann, Klara Bühl, Sydney Lohmann and Lea Schüller, five FC Bayern players have been called up for the German national team. Germany finished the group stage of the Nations League as League A group winners and now face France in the semi-finals on Friday 23 February. Kick-off in Lyon is at 21:00 CET (live in Germany on the ARD TV channel). A win for head coach Horst Hrubesch's side will see them qualify for the Olympics. They would then face either Spain or the Netherlands in the final five days later. In the event they lose the semi-final, the Germans would play the losers of the second semi-final in the third-place play-off, also on 28 February. As France are already qualified as host nation, the DFB team could also secure Olympic qualification by winning the third-place play-off.
FCB player Jill Baijings made it to the semi-finals of the tournament with the Dutch national team. The Netherlands will play Spain at the same time as the Germany vs. France game on Friday at 21:00 CET, so also have a chance of qualifying for the Olympics.
