Five facts on away game against Eintracht Frankfurt

The FC Bayern Women are away to third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, 9 March with the kick off at 13:00 CET. The FCB Women progressed to the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal with a 3-0 win against Carl Zeiss Jena on Tuesday. The opponents then are also Eintracht Frankfurt.  fcbayern.com has complied some key facts on the league fixture.

1. Meeting of Germany teammates

The Germany Women's team secured a place at the Olympic Games last week with a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands. Five players each from Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt were in the side. Giulia Gwinn, Klara Bühl, Lea Schüller, Sydney Lohmann and Linda Dallmann played alongside the Frankfurt Women but are now on opposite sides.

2. Mala Grohs with impresive numbers

In the rankings of saves made by goalkeepers in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga, Bayern's shot-stopper Marla Grohs has an impressive return of 84%. She has defended the Bayern net brilliantly with 21 saves and only four goals conceded and that has made a decisive contribution to the positive goal difference of +27 goals.

3. Eintracht clean sheet

Record crowd: 19,000 spectators were at the previous meeting at the Allianz Arena.

When the two sides last met at the Allianz Arena in Munich in the middle of October the final score was 0-0. That makes Eintracht the only team in the current season who have not conceded against FC Bayern who are now unbeaten in 31 Bundesliga fixtures.

4. Eintracht strong at home

Eintracht Frankfurt have just suffered two defeats on the road against VfL Wolfsburg (0-3) and RB Leipzig (1-2). In contrast, the team from Hessen are stronger at home. The team under Niko Arnautis have suffered just one defeat on their own turf in the last 20 Bundesliga matches.

5. Top providers

Klara Bühl is one of the best providers in the current campaign.

With five assists each, Eintracht’s Lara Prasnikar and Bayern player Klara Bühl are the equal best providers in the Bundesliga this season. Bühl has set up a goal in each of the last three matches. No other player has achieved that so far this season.
