FC Bayern Women’s players don’t have much rest after their DFB Cup semi-final shootout victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, with 17 members of the squad now off to join up with their national teams. fcbayern.com rounds up who’s been called up for April’s international break.
Germany face Austria and Iceland
Four Bayern players will be in action for Germany in Klara Bühl, Sydney Lohmann, Giulia Gwinn and Lea Schüller. Their first game of UEFA Euro 2025 qualifying is against Austria in Linz on Friday. The following Tuesday, 9 April, Horst Hrubesch’s side host Glódis Viggósdóttir’s Iceland in Aachen for their second qualifier. Prior to that, the Bayern captain and her country take on Poland as they open their qualifying campaign on Friday.
Several all-Bayern clashes

The Swedes then host France the following Tuesday, while the Lionesses visit Dublin to take on Ireland.

Jill Baijings will also face a club teammate with the Netherlands as they take on Tuva Hansen’s Norway on Tuesday, after beginning their campaign against Italy on Friday. Hansen plays against Finland that day. Pernille Harder and Denmark play their first two qualifiers against Czechia and Belgium.
Friendlies for U20s, Euro qualifiers for U19s
Alara Sehitler and Sarah Ernst will play two friendlies for Germany’s U20s in Verl, first against the USA on Friday and then Canada the following Tuesday. Goalkeeper Juliana Schmid is on standby if called upon.
Germany’s U19s began the second round of their Euro qualification campaign on Thursday with a 2-0 win against Romania. Laura Gloning started the game, with Carla Schwarz coming off the bench. Two more Bayern youth players are on standby in Eszter Reszler and Sophia Weixler.
