What an accolade for the FC Bayern Women! Alexander Straus’ team was welcomed by Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder at Prinz-Carl-Palais in the presence of FC Bayern president Herbert Hainer, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, his deputy Michael Diederich and board member for sport Max Eberl for winning the German championship title. FC Bayern Women's sporting director Bianca Rech and captain Glódís Viggósdóttir were presented with the Arzberger Löwe. Bayern presented Söder with a shirt signed by all FC Bayern Women players. Herbert Hainer thanked Söder: "It's an honour for us as FC Bayern that our Women are welcomed by Minister-President Markus Söder. The team have more than deserved this honour. Winning the championship title in three of the last four seasons and the Supercup on Sunday: the title collection is growing and motivates us to keep going."

Söder said in the marble hall of Prinz-Carl-Palais, the Bavarian Minister-President's residence: "The pride of Bavaria is here today. My highest respect for your performances last season." He mentioned the impressive stats, whereas Bianca Rech spoke of a "big appreciation" such a reception represents: "We're proud to be here today, we really enjoy it, it's a big honour." Captain Viggósdóttir said these events are a big motivation for the new season: "We want to keep being successful."
Max Eberl addressed the team and staff beforehand, thanking them for their performances last season. The board member for sport wished them good luck for the new season and affirmed all support in the future. "You achieve great things, we're very proud of you – let's keep celebrating success together," said Eberl, who received plenty of applause for his authentic address. The team gave Michael Diederich a birthday serenade during the group photo in a very good atmosphere.

Hainer added: "Our FC Bayern Women are wonderful ambassadors beyond sport. They show what's possible if you go your own way. Girls and boys look up at them and want to be like them. A few of them might make it here one day." FC Bayern would be glad "if we could be here next year again – along with the men's team." The FCB president added: "Your task is: stay as successful as you are – then just link arms with the men's team and bring them here! It's our big goal to have both teams welcomed here next summer." Hainer concluded his address with "congratulations on your performances. You make us proud. You are FC Bayern!"
After the photos, the entire FCB delegation signed the state's Golden Book usually signed by the likes of US President Joe Biden, said Söder.
