As well as board member for sport Max Eberl, long-time head of department Karin Danner and former FCB captain Lothar Matthäus, FC Bayern's women's footballers had another special visitor at the 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt on Monday evening. The ‘Bayerischer Landtag’ fan club, led by chairwoman Ulrike Scharf, Minister of State for Family, Labour and Social Affairs (CSU), cheered on the league leaders from Munich in the top-of-the-table clash.

Bianca ‘Jay’ Rech welcomed the special guests before the match in the clubhouse *1900 at the FC Bayern Campus. "It's a great honour to have you here today, we're delighted," said the FCB Women director. "Our players want to inspire people – on and off the pitch. I wish you and all of us a good game." The fan club, which was founded in 2022 and now has 70 members, is a regular guest at the Allianz Arena; the meetings are organised by deputy CEO Michael Diederich and the fan and fan club support team led by director Markus Meindl.

The group visit to the women's football match against Eintracht Frankfurt was a first, as Scharf explained. "Young people need role models, and they can find them here with the players of FC Bayern. It's simply fantastic how FC Bayern is constantly developing women's football and helping young girls to realise that there are no limits if you believe in yourself." This is not just limited to the pitch: the promotion of women in management positions, as in the case of Rech, is also an important example for society, said the Minister of State, "and I also think the EmpowerHer mentoring programme that the club has launched is remarkable." The fan club chairwoman had dressed appropriately in the colours of the German record champions, with a red jacket and red fan scarf. Her summary: "FC Bayern exemplifies inspiration – beyond the pitch."
