FC Bayern Women can continue to count on Franziska Kett in the future after the Germany youth international extended her contract with the club until 30 June 2027.

For Bianca Rech, FC Bayern Women's director, there was no question about continuing to work with Kett: "There was absolutely no doubt that we wanted to extend Franzi's contract. She's a homegrown talent and was trained here. We're very glad that we can continue to develop her here and are really pleased that she's staying with us. Franzi is an exciting player, who's versatile and very down to earth. She'll bring us much more joy."

Kett: "Didn't need long to think"

Kett herself is delighted about the contract extension and wants to repay the faith of the management: "FC Bayern is a club close to my heart and I think everyone dreams of playing here one day. When the extension offer came, I didn't need long to think about it. It's a privilege to play for FCB and I want to thank the management for the faith and the support they've shown me."

Part of Bayern Women since 2020

Kett moved to the FC Bayern Campus in 2020 from the SpVgg GW Deggendorf U15s. The 20-year-old then progressed through all the club's youth teams before making her Bundesliga debut at the age of 17 on 26 September 2022 in a home match against SV Werder Bremen.

Since then, the attacker has gone on to make 38 appearances in all competitions for the Munich girls, scoring two goals. Kett has won two Women's Bundesliga titles with Bayern to date (2023 and 2024) as well as the Google Pixel Supercup in 2024. She returned from an ankle injury in the recent Champions League match against Juventus.
