Bianca Rech, FC Bayern Women director: “We’re delighted that Klara is staying at Bayern for the coming years and wants to remain part of our development. She’s a very important player and gives the team an incredible amount both on and off the pitch. Klara has long been a part of the Bayern family and has already achieved and been through a lot. She’s an important factor for the success we want to achieve together in the coming years. She’s pure power as a player. She’s two-footed, good at set pieces and adds a lot with her speed. Those abilities mean she’s capable of deciding games and is therefore very valuable for our team and the club.”

Klara Bühl: “It means a lot to me to stay here at Bayern. My feeling tells me that we can still do a lot of things here. Both my personal development and that of the team are by no means done. The way we’ve worked in the last few years and what we’ve already achieved, we want to continue that in the future. At the end of the day, you should trust your gut feeling, and I’m very happy to get to play for this club for more years to come. It’s very special to play in a team with such togetherness. We’re not just teammates but also friends. We’ve got big goals together.”

'Big game Bühl' a key player

Bühl joined Bayern from Freiburg for the 2020/21 season and has developed into a key player for the club. Her impressive performances have seen the forward earn the nickname ‘Big Game Bühl’ from fans. She recently provided two assists as the Munich Frauen beat Eintracht Frankfurt 4-1 in extra-time of the DFB Cup quarter-final, while she also scored the only goal of the Supercup against Wolfsburg at the start of the campaign. The first goal by a Bayern woman at the Allianz Arena also belongs to Bühl when she struck in the Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain in March 2022. No player has as many assists in the Bundesliga as Bühl since her move to the Bavarian capital (40). This season alone she has seven goals and 13 assists to her name across 25 appearances. The 24-year-old has earned 64 senior caps for Germany since her debut in 2019, scoring 27 goals. She was a runner-up with her country at Euro 2022 and also won bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
