Rúnarsdóttir initially arrived in the Bavarian capital on loan from Everton in January 2022 and made the move permanent in July of the same year. The goalkeeper won the league title with FC Bayern Women in both 2023 and 2024. Last season, Rúnarsdóttir established herself as Inter Milan's number one and, as runners-up, qualified for the UEFA Women's Champions League for the first time with her team.

Thank you for your hard work at FC Bayern, Cecilía, and all the best for the future!
