There are still around two months until the opening match of the new Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga season against Bayer 04 Leverkusen (tickets), but it’s already definite that FC Bayern Women will play in front of a new record crowd! So far 25,000 tickets have been sold for the curtain-raiser at Munich’s Allianz Arena, already breaking the club’s record attendance of 24,000 from FCB Women’s Champions League clash against FC Barcelona in December 2022.
Heavyweight clash to kick off season

The meeting with the Werkself sees the reigning double winners from the Bavarian state capital take on the team who finished fourth last season. The Munich girls did the double over Leverkusen last term, comfortably winning 2-0 at home after a thrilling reverse fixture, in which FCB twice came from behind before triumphing 3-2 thanks to Alara Şehitler’s first Bundesliga goal in stoppage time. So, the opening fixture of the new campaign promises excitement once again.
Naschenweng: ‘Massively looking forward to meeting at the Allianz Arena’
The anticipation for the Bundesliga opener is already running high within the team, as full-back Kathi Naschenweng attested: “It’ll be a great feeling to walk out in front of such a big crowd. It’s nice to hear that 25,000 tickets have already been sold for the match and we’re very confident that many more will come.
