Bianca Rech, FC Bayern Women director: “The whole women’s division of FC Bayern and I personally congratulate Georgia Stanway on winning the European Championship. We’re incredibly proud to have a European champion in our ranks. We look forward to welcoming Georgia back to Munich after a few days of well-earned holiday and then heading into the final phase of pre-season with her.
“I also want to express my greatest regret to all our other EURO players, including Arianna Caruso and our German players, who all came extremely close to reaching the final. They also had an impressive tournament and did FC Bayern Munich proud in Europe. We thank you for that and look forward to the forthcoming season with you!”
