This summer, FC Bayern Women embark on their third official tour outside Europe – and it will take them to a new continent. Following Louisville (USA) in 2021 and Monterrey in Mexico in 2023, the ‘Allianz Women’s Tour’ will take the German champions to Asia from 21 to 27 July. The destination is the Japanese capital, Tokyo, with its population of around 37 million. The highlight of the tour will be a match on 25 July at the Nack5 Stadium in Saitama against Japanese top-flight side RB Omiya Ardija Women.

FC Bayern board member for marketing & sales Rouven Kasper: “FC Bayern has its home in Munich and is deeply rooted in Bavaria – yet it is also a global brand with millions of fans. Our women’s team combines top-class performance with strong characters who inspire girls, young women and people all over the world to realise their dreams – both on and off the pitch. With the ‘Allianz Women’s Tour’, we're sending a clear message: women’s football belongs on the big stage – in Munich, in Tokyo and all over the world.”

FC Bayern director of women’s football Bianca Rech: “We're very much looking forward to this trip to Japan to boost the profile of FC Bayern Women in Asia as well. On our previous tours to the USA and Mexico, we were able to attract many new fans, and we want to build on that. In Momoko Tanikawa, we have a player who won the Asian Cup with her home country and who has a bright future ahead of her. She's already well known to the general public in Japan, and interest in her and FC Bayern Women is growing steadily. We want to build on this interest with the ‘Allianz Women’s Tour’ – it's a new milestone in our development.”
Nathalie Vogt, head of marketing & communications at Allianz in Germany: “Over 57,000 fans flocked to the Allianz Arena for FC Bayern Women’s 2025/26 season opener. This highlights the tremendous growth of the sport and, in particular, the strength of the Munich women’s team – both in terms of sporting performance and the sport’s popularity and visibility. As a long-standing partner of the FC Bayern women’s team, we are delighted about this. We firmly believe in the side and want to continue helping to advance the team and women’s football. The 'Allianz Women’s Tour' to Japan is the next step on this shared journey.”
As part of their pre-season preparations, the main focus of the trip will be on daily training sessions, but the team will also take part in a variety of activities off the pitch. FC Bayern last visited Tokyo with its men’s team in the summer of 2023 as part of its ‘Audi Summer Tour’. Just last November, the club extended its partnership with the Japan Football Association (JFA) by a further three years, meaning the collaboration, which has been in place since 2018, will then have spanned an impressive ten years.
Hitachi Energy, the global market leader in energy infrastructure and new partner of FC Bayern Women, is also an official partner of the 'Allianz Women’s Tour', which is taking place in the home country of the Hitachi Group. The aim is for the partnership to be made even more tangible for employees through joint local activations, whilst also giving FC Bayern Women an insight into Japanese culture.
FC Bayern Women have consistently gained valuable experience on their intercontinental trips to date, including in a high-profile friendly against Tigres Feminil in Mexico attended by around 35,000 spectators and a tournament in Kentucky (USA) featuring Paris Saint-Germain, the Chicago Stars and Racing Louisville. Other highlights have included a joint training session with FC Dallas and a visit to the Muhammad Ali Museum in Louisville.
