The 2020/2021 season was a real anniversary one, with a trio of club legends celebrating milestone birthdays. That means there are currently not one but three special exhibitions for FC Bayern Museum visitors to enjoy: "KAISER 75" in honour of Franz Beckenbauer, "Goals for the Ages. 75 Years of Gerd Müller" and "IL GRANDE LOTHAR. World Cup winner, World Player of the Year, Record-breaker" on the life and work of Lothar Matthäus (60). Three specially-designed exhibitions that take a look at Beckenbauer, Müller and Matthäus far beyond the pitch - not just three extraordinary footballers, but also three extraordinary people.
FC Bayern says "Thank you!"
With all three exhibitions, FC Bayern Munich would like to say "Congratulations" and "Thank you". While the focus in the "Bomber" exhibition lies on a wealth of newly researched data, facts and exciting stories about the legendary goalscorer, in "KAISER 75" lovingly selected exhibits, an emotional film and anecdotes from numerous companions bring the sportsman and the person Franz Beckenbauer together to form an impressive overall picture. The main object and eye-catcher of the small exhibition "IL GRANDE LOTHAR" is the impressive World Player of the Year trophy from 1991. Beckenbauer and Matthäus, who have provided many exhibits from their private collections, came to see the special exhibitions in person, and their verdict was unanimous: come along and take a look!
The special exhibitions can be viewed until the end of 2021 and are included in the price of the museum and combination tickets.
