There’s been lots of chatting, even more laughing, but most of all reminiscing. When the legends of FC Bayern recently gathered for filming at Säbener Straße, it was another reminder of how many individual moments have shaped the German record champions’ history. Memorable victories, painful defeats, strange games, spectacular goals, major titles: all of them are ‘Moments’ that will live for eternity – and feature in the new special exhibition at the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt.
The countdown is on until the opening of the exhibition in mid-July, the excitement is growing and preparations are in full swing. And so the protagonists were invited to look back over these great moments. It was quite a reunion: the likes of Franz Beckenbauer, Bulle Roth, Sepp Maier, Katsche Schwarzenbeck, Jean-Marie Pfaff, Stefan Effenberg, Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidžić recollected in front of the cameras everything they experienced in a red shirt.
Listening to them, you sense that the feelings they went through at the time – happiness and joy, but also despair and disappointment – quickly came back to them. And that’s exactly what the new exhibition aims to do. From mid-July visitors should also experience these big ‘Moments’ in FC Bayern’s history as if they were there. Why did that one win or perhaps a defeat change a life? What did they do when that crucial goal was scored? Where and with whom did they celebrate those big titles? Goosebumps are guaranteed. Here’s a small foretaste of what you can expect.
