Rummenigge and legends open 'MOMENTS. Unique. Unforgettable.'

A number of FC Bayern legends experienced the decisive moments of the last five decades in the club's history all over again when they opened the Erlebniswelt's new special exhibition MOMENTS. Unique. Unforgettable. Joy, disappointment, happiness and desperation all became tangible for a second time.

"Here and today you become fully aware that there have been moments that shaped our club for eternity, that were essential for our success story," said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. President Uli Hoeneß and many other Bayern legends came together to reminisce. All the key personalities have made the exhibition film a very special, emotional highlight, packed with stories and anecdotes. Visitors can now experience these dramatic and spine-tingling moments for themselves.

Franz Beckenbauer, Sepp Maier, Franz Bulle Roth und Hans-Georg Katsche Schwarzenbeck recounted their big personal moments which have shaped the German record champions' unique success story: the first European Cup Winners' Cup triumph in 1967 and the European Champion Clubs' Cup triumph in 1974. "If you consider the state of FC Bayern back then and where they are now it's just incredible that a moment can be so important," Roth commented on his decisive goal 50 years ago.

These moments are the reasons why people are fans or players: they are football's essence, they are the framework for the love for the sport and the club. The 2001 and 2013 Champions League triumphs or the dramas in the 2012 Finale dahaom and the Mother of all defeats in 1999 are unforgettable. Who does not remember Patrik Andersson's injury-time goal in Hamburg in 2001? "The most important moment in my career" for Patrik Andersson, and a crucial one for FC Bayern. Erlebniswelt visitors can now be part of it for a moment thanks to walk-through 3D installations.

The legends have contributed to the exhibition. "It's an honour for us to re-experience our big moments on this occasion," commented Klaus Augenthaler, who along with Jean-Marie Pfaff represented the dramatic championship title triumph in 1986.

FC Bayern München AG chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, club president Uli Hoeneß and the other legends drew a conclusion: a visit to the special exhibition, which runs until 31 March 2018, is a must. MOMENTS. Unique. Unforgettable. is open to the public from now on, and entrance is included in the Erlebniswelt admission ticket. Drop by and become immersed in FC Bayern's most dramatic moments!
