There are moments for eternity in football, and visitors can now experience them for themselves at the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt. The special exhibition MOMENTS. Unique. Unforgettable. allows visitors to experience the decisive moments of the last five decades in the club's history.
Visitors can remember these moments along with Bayern's legends until 31 March 2018. The exhibition displays both the greatest successes and painful defeats. The feelings come to life again when you experience the moments which have shaped FC Bayern. A wave of pure happiness and immeasurable joy or desparation and disappointment: experiencing these spine-tingling moments is fascinating for visitors big and small.
The installation aims to illustrate the moments with all their emotionality. The key protagonists recount the moments in detail in the exhibition film: Franz Beckenbauer, Franz Bulle Roth, Sepp Maier, Hans-Georg Katsche Schwarzenbeck, Uli Hoeneß, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Klaus Augenthaler, Jean-Marie Pfaff, Stefan Effenberg, Patrik Andersson, Oliver Kahn, Hasan Salihamidžić, Ottmar Hitzfeld, Arjen Robben, Philipp Lahm and Thomas Müller retell the unforgettable moments in front of the camera. They remember everything, successes like the first European Cup Winners' Cup triumph in 1967, the European Champion Clubs' Cup triumph in 1974 and the Champions League triumphs in 2001 and 2013 as well as the thrilling Bundesliga finales in 1986 and 2001, but also dramas like the 2012 Finale dahoam and the mother of all defeats in 1999.
The 3D installations are highlights allowing the visitors to be part of select moments. The exhibition demonstrates the power of football: everybody knows exactly where he was during these moments, what he was doing and with whom he watched the missed penalty or heard the final whistle. There is also a segment for memories the fans have provided.
After Goalkeeper, inventor, all-rounder in 2014, Kaiser. Kalle. Bomber. in 2015 and Professional footballer: Dream and Reality in 2016, MOMENTS. Unique. Unforgettable. is the fourth special exhibition at FC Bayern's club museum.
