Spectacular performances, unique perspectives, countless clippings: the world of sport is full of fascinating photo scenes, and the best of them can be seen now in the foyer of the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt. The touring exhibition 'Sport Photo of the Year' from German sports magazine kicker will be stopping at the Bayern club museum until 11 November, offering visitors a special opportunity to see these prized shots up close.
The winning photo from freelance photographer Robert Michael shows a Bundesliga weightlifting competition run by SG Fortschritt Eibau. Under the management of kicker Sportmagazin, in conjunction with the association of German sports journalists, the image was awarded the prize in February 2018. Shortly before the 50th prize-giving ceremony, other contents of the touring exhibition include not only all winning photos from the past ten years, but also a selection of the most stunning pictures from the big, wide world of sport. The FC Bayern Erlebniswelt at the Allianz Arena is one of many stops on the exhibition's German tour. It's free for stadium visitors - so well worth a visit!
