Of course, focus will be on the winner from 2018, “winter miracle” by Sascha Fromm.
Taken after the Germany ice hockey team had secured their place in the final of the 2018 Olympic Games in PyeongChang, the photo brings so much together: a spectacular perspective, unbelievable dynamism and raw emotion. The picture was already awarded a prize in January. kicker is holding the photography competition for the 49th time this year, in cooperation with the Association of German Sports Journalists (VDS). In total, 403 pictures from 79 participants were put to a jury in the categories of “general sports action”, “general sports feature/impression/emotions”, “amateur and youth football”, “general football” and “portfolio”.
Further contents of the travelling exhibition not only include all the winning photos of the last decade but also a selection of the most spectacular photos from the big, wide world of sport.
