After last year's success, the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt will take part in the 21st "Long Night of Munich Museums." The FC Bayern club museum is one of more than 90 exhibition venues to welcome visitors on 19 October 2019. A very special journey awaits visitors on more than 3,000 m² from 19.00 CET to midnight. Football is not just commerce, but first and foremost fascination, emotion, history and even art, and football fans, sport lovers and curious visitors can see it on an evening trip. A special highlight: Giovane Elber will be on site at 20.00 and 21.30 CET, and the Bayern legend is looking forward to meeting visitors.
Diverse programme: Tours and a glimpse of the interior
The focus will be on the foundation of the club, which is reviewed in the current special exhibition Between the studio and the pitch. How did the founding fathers live and work? How did FC Bayern come about? Why was the club seen as an "artists' club?" Exhibits and regular short tours between 7 and midnight will answer these and many more questions. Besides, the recently opened special exhibition ROBBÉRY reviews the careers of longstanding Bayern stars Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry, offering interesting details from recent years.
In addition, the DO & CO Arena Tour Guides will offer short tours through the illuminated Allianz Arena from 19.00 to 1.00. Views of the pitch and the 75,000-capacity stadium are special at this time in particular. Visitors looking for fan items can drop by the FC Bayern Store, which will be open until 2.00. The museum's Café Gisela and the Paulaner Fantreff Nord will be open all evening to help visitors through the long night.
Free parking
A trip to Fröttmaning is definitely worth it as the Erlebniswelt illustrates a key part of the history of sports and culture in Munich. The short route on the A9 motorway does not entail a loss of time. The "Busparkplatz Mitte" parking lot is free for museum night visitors. Besides, classic buses will stop at the stadium. Visitors can also take the U6 underground line.
Tickets are available at €15 per person at the usual booking offices and the participating museums. The FC Bayern Erlebniswelt does not yet offer tickets. Tickets are valid for admission to all participating venues for one adult and up to four children (4 to 14 years old) for the evening programme and the MVG shuttle buses. A ticket is also valid for one person for all public transit services within the zones of the MVV Transit Authority (from noon on 19 October to 8 am on 20 October).
