10th birthday: Anniversary weeks at the FC Bayern Museum

Long live the FC Bayern Museum! That will be the motto in May, because this year it will actually be ten years since the doors opened on the permanent exhibition at the heart of the Allianz Arena. A big birthday party with reduced admission prices, special tours and lots of surprises is planned for Thursday, 26 May 2022. But there will also be various activities, competitions, and opportunities to get involved during the run-up to the event. The list is a long one - because, as we all know, you can never celebrate enough!

Reduced admission and special tours

The grand day of celebration will take place on 26 May, almost ten years after the grand opening of the FC Bayern Museum in 2012. All full-paying visitors will benefit from reduced admission on the day - and a visit is worthwhile in many other ways. In addition to the Berni birthday party for the little ones, there will be special tours on the subject of the founding of the club, which will provide a completely different view of the eventful and moving history of FC Bayern. The special tours of the museum will start at 11:00 and 14:00 CEST and will be combined with a highlights tour of the Allianz Arena (12:00 and 15:00 CEST). Among other things, visitors will also be able to explore the dressing rooms, the players' tunnel, and the touchline.

The new must-have exhibition book

Visitors will also have the opportunity to delve into the history and planning of the FC Bayern Museum in a bespoke installation. Where do the exhibits come from? How big is the archive? There are numerous amusing and quirky anecdotes that have been part of the club museum in its first ten years. Even more of these can be found in the new publication, which is being released for the first time on the occasion of the anniversary, and which is a perfect companion to the museum. The book accompanying the exhibition not only has a brand new look, but also boasts various stories about the most interesting exhibits, museum  highlights, and legends. Available in German and English, the work is suitable both as a souvenir and as a gift for football fans and Bayern enthusiasts.

But that's not all. The birthday will also be marked by a competition. Here you will find the detailed information.

So for the whole of May it's: Hip, hip hooray! Off we go - to the FC Bayern Museum!
