Niklas Süle and the joy of the game against Lazio

With a slight grin on his face, Niklas Süle ran down the right wing at the Stadio Olimpico di Roma. A stepover, another touch of the ball and then a perfect back-heel to Jamal Musiala. This move in the 35th minute of the 4-1 win for FC Bayern in theround of 16 first leg at Lazio was a strong contender for the moment of the match. It underlined Bayern's desire to play and dominance. And that was just one of the many sides of Süle's impressive performance on the night.

Niklas Süle played at right-back, and Bayern fans were reminded of one of the best full-backs of all time:

The FCB number 4 frequently got involved with the attack and had the third highest number of touches of the ball (95) after David Alaba (113) and Alphonso Davies (101). Again and again, the Germany international demonstrated his technical ability. Following his outstanding performance and the well-deserved victory, Süle could not stop smiling after the end of the game.

Musiala was the target for Süle's back-heel. He went into the history books just before that:
