The fourth game since last Sunday will require full attention. On Sunday evening, the Bayern basketball team will play in Ludwigsburg the goal being to keep the hosts at a distance in the BBL standings. After two recent losses the Swabians are in sixth place (8-5), while head coach Andrea Trinchieri's team is currently third (11-3), behind Bonn (13-1) and Berlin (12-1).
The top game starts at 18:00 and MagentaSport will broadcast live as usual.
Bayern used the short time after the return from Istanbul for a bit of rest as Trinchieri's twelve-man squad has been cruising through the competitions for several weeks with a short bench since Lucic and Obst continue to out with injury.
Prevent offensive rebounds
Ludwigsburg is coming off three straight losses at MBC (69-66), Chemnitz (89-80) and Wednesday in their international competition at Limoges in France vs former FCBB player Gavin Schilling (82-62).
There is admittedly a bit of unrest at the moment due to the suspension for Justin Johnson (10 ppg) and having to do without Isaiah Whitehead (13.8). 23-year-old top scorer Prentiss Hubb (18.3/6.5 apg), who underwent ankle surgery, is back and BBL rookie Jhonsthan Dunn (12.2 ppg) is always a threat on offense.
In addition to their well-known aggressive defense, the MHP Giants play with a lot of intensity especially on the offensive boards, averaging 13.5 rebounds per game.
