FCB's leader goes ahead and grabs the first award of the new season: Joshua Kimmich is FC Bayern's Player of the Month for September! The 25-year-old played a major role in the German record champions' winning their first two trophies of the still-new season last month. In addition to his usual qualities as a passing outlet, tackler and tireless runner, he had his eye on goal too. The central midfielder contributed two goals and two assists in five games.
The fans have had their say and have decided that the Germany midfielder is Bayern's September Player of the Month. Kimmich finished ahead of European Footballer of the Year Robert Lewandowski (25%), as well as Mr. UEFA Super Cup Javi Martinez and skipper Manuel Neuer (both 10%).

Winner in Super Cup
Emblematic of Kimmich's excellent performances this month was the Super Cup win over Borussia Dortmund. In a game that saw FCB lead twice before being pegged back twice to 2-2, it was the record champions' new number 6 who, with great will and determination, scored a decisive winning goal to see FCB win 3-2.
