A great performance from FC Bayern in the big game against Leipzig! 1. Season debut for Hernández and Pavard

Lucas Hernández and Benjamin Pavard held the Munich defence together with strong performances.

In Lucas Hernández and Benjamin Pavard, two players celebrated their season debuts for FC Bayern against Leipzig. Both were impressive in defence and played a major role in the clear win in Leipzig. Pavard won 75% of his tackles, the best percentage of all FCB players, Hernández the second best with 71%. In addition, neither of them lost a single challenge in the air. While Pavard was substituted in the 75th minute, his national team colleague played the full 90.

2. Sané's 50th game for Bayern

Leroy Sané has created four chances in total - the most of any player.

Congratulations are due: Leroy Sané played his 50th competitive match in FC Bayern colours. In total, he's scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists. The Germany international also got on the scoresheet against Leipzig, scoring in the 54th minute to make it 3-0. It was Sané's first goal in the league this season.

3. Lewandowski with the opening goal... again

Unstoppable: Robert Lewandowski scored his sixth goal of the season against Leipzig and thus leads the goalscoring chart.

Robert Lewandowski scored the all-important opener for the 69th time in the Bundesliga. Only Manfred Burgsmüller (71), Gerd Müller, and Klaus Fischer (both 86) have done this more often. With the first goal of the day in the 12th minute, the Pole not only paved the way for FCB's third victory of the season, but also extended his personal record. Lewandowski scored in his 14th Bundesliga game in a row, scoring a total of 23 goals. Only Gerd Müller has carved out a longer scoring streak, in 1969/70 (16 consecutive games).

4. Sabitzer celebrates FC Bayern debut

Marcel Sabitzer met his former teammates in Leipzig.

He had to wait 59 minutes, then it was finally time for new boy Marcel Sabitzer to celebrate his Bayern debut, at his former club RB Leipzig, of all places. The Austrian replaced Leon Goretzka in defensive midfield. Shortly before the end, he even had a great chance to score his first goal in an FCB shirt. After great play by Alphonso Davies, he shot from 12 yards out, but his former team-mate Peter Gulácsi prevented his first goal with a good save.

5. Magical Musiala making his mark

Jamal Musiala was once again impressive, scoring and assisting after coming on.

Musiala, lightning quick off the mark: Jamal Musiala was substituted on for Serge Gnabry in first-half stoppage time and just two minutes after the restart the 18-year-old scored to make it 2-0. The Germany international then followed up his goal with an assist in the 54th minute, his third of the current season. No other FC Bayern player has more assists in the league. In addition, Musiala has been directly involved in at least one goal for the third Bundesliga match in a row for the first time in his career (2 goals, 2 assists).
