Jamal Musiala has suffered a fracture of the metacarpal bone. The 18-year-old midfielder is now a doubt for FC Bayern's two remaining Bundesliga matches at VfB Stuttgart and against VfL Wolfsburg. "It depends on the pain. He has a splint and could theoretically play, but it's a pain issue. We'll have to wait and see how he moves today. We'll have to wait a few days and take another x-ray to see how to proceed with the treatment, whether it will be surgical or conservative," FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann explained in Monday's press conference ahead of the game at VfB Stuttgart.
Goretzka and Tolisso also doubtful
Leon Goretzka and Corentin Tolisso are also doubtful for Tuesday night's match in Stuttgart: "We treated Leon's knee a bit more to see how it reacts. We'll see to what extent it makes sense for him to travel with us to Stuttgart," Nagelsmann said of Goretzka, who missed out recently against Barcelona (3-0) and Mainz (2-1). "Coco's been struggling a bit, so we'll decide whether he can train today. He doesn't have a structural injury," Nagelsmann said of Tolisso.
Sabitzer rejoins squad training
Meanwhile, there's some positive news regarding Marcel Sabitzer. "He'll rejoin the squad today. But it'll be purely down to the manpower situation if he travels with us," explained Nagelsmann. Bayern will definitely be without Joshua Kimmich, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (both following a coronavirus infection) and Josip Stanišić (torn muscle in the left thigh) against Stuttgart.
