Alphonso Davies bags brace for Canada

Canada kicked off their CONCACAF Nations League campaign on Thursday night with a 4-0 victory over Curacao thanks to a standout display from Bayern's Alphonso Davies. The 21-year-old scored twice in his former home of Vancouver on his first appearance for the national team since November following a long lay-off. He put his country ahead from the penalty spot on 27 minutes before getting the third of the evening after 71 minutes. The FCB man was also involved in the second, with his corner not dealt with by Curacao goalkeeper Eloy Room, allowing Steven Vitoria to just turn it home shortly before half-time. Davies departed the game with a quarter of an hour ago, before Lucas Cavallini rounded off the victory.
