Young guns and crafty veterans: the Bochum win in numbers

FC Bayern celebrated a dominant 3-0 win at home to Bochum on Saturday. fcbayern.com rounds up the standout facts and figures from the game...

New Müller record

Thomas Müller celebrates against Bochum
Thomas Müller capped his record Bundesliga outing with the opening goal.

Thomas Müller cemented his legendary status at Bayern by overtaking Gerd Müller as the club's outfield player with the most number of Bundesliga appearances (428). The 33-year-old marked the occasion with the opening goal, making it three goal involvements in as many games (two of his own, plus one assist). With 141 goals in total, he's now level 19th with Bernd Nickel in the Bundesliga's all-time scoring charts.

Milestone for Gnabry

Like Müller, Serge Gnabry had more than one reason to celebrate. Making his 200th competitive appearance for Bayern, the 27-year-old won and scored a 73rd-minute penalty, whilst enjoying 95 touches - a personal record in a Bundesliga fixture and game-leading statistic. He was also top dog for sprints (33), distance covered (10.9 kilometres) and goal attempts (six).

Ibrahimović debut

Only time will tell how many appearances Arijon Ibrahimović will make for Bayern. Aged 17 years and two months, he became the second-youngest player in Bayern history (after Paul Wanner) on his debut against Bochum. The attacking midfielder even had the chance to add a fourth goal in the 84th minute. Had he succeeded, the young Ibra would have become Bayern's youngest Bundesliga scorer.

Coman's favourite opponent

Substitute Kingsley Coman made no mistake with his finish for Bayern's second goal. The Frenchman has now scored in successive matches for the first time since spring 2022. What's more, his return of two goals and two assists in this season's home and away meetings with Bochum is more than his total tally across his 12 other Bundesliga outings so far this term (three).

Fortress Allianz Arena

Bayern's 3-0 win means they are the first team to score in 50 consecutive home matches in the Bundesliga, on three separate occasions. The Bavarian giants previously went on 64- and 62-game scoring streaks in the 1970s and 80s respectively. Indeed, Julian Nagelsmann charges are currently enjoying a 22-match unbeaten run in all competitions at the Allianz Arena (W15, D7), dating back to a Bundesliga reverse at the hands of Borussia Mönchengladbach in January 2021.
