A sucessful defence! After being named your FC Bayern Player of the Month in August, Leroy Sané again topped the German record champions' supporters' vote in September with some impressive performances. The 27-year-old received 39% of all votes cast, beating Mathys Tel (23%) and Harry Kane (13%).

For weeks now, the winger has been working his magic at the highest level: In the past calendar month, Sané scored four goals in six games, including - just like last year, when he netted at Inter Milan - the first Bayern goal of the Champions League campaign in a 4-3 win against Manchester United. In the Bundesliga, the forward added three more goals, extending his own run for the start of a season. He'd never before managed five goals in the first six matchdays in professional football.
And there's no sign of a dip in Sané's current impressive form. In the last match before the international break on 8 October against Freiburg (3-0), the Germany international scored for the third consecutive Bundesliga game. With performances like this, Sané is already positioning himself for his next defence in the fan vote.
