Round of 16 place? Booked! Top spot in the group? In the bag! Bayern have once again got the job done in this year's Champions League group stage in impressive style. Thomas Tuchel and his side can now play with freedom in the home match against FC Copenhagen on Wednesday night, although they have the chance to crown the successful group campaign with more impressive numbers. Find out what they are in the facts on the match.
Bayern in last 16 for 20th time
With the 2-1 win against Galatasaray last time out, Bayern have won their first four group games in Europe's premier club competition for the fifth year in a row. Thanks to another perfect record, FCB are through to the Champions League round of 16 for the 20th time – only Real Madrid (21 times) have achieved this more often in the current format (since 2003/04). The Reds are also unbeaten in their last 38 group matches in the competition (W35 D3) since a 3-0 reverse at Paris Saint-Germain on 29 September 2017. That's a record, as is their incredible current run of 17 consecutive victories in the group stage.
Strong home record
Since the 3-2 defeat to PSG in April 2021, Bayern are unbeaten in 12 UCL outings at home (W10 D2). That was also their only loss in the last 21 games at the Allianz Arena in this competition (W18 D2). What's more, the German record champions have always scored at least once in their past 26 home matches in Europe, the longest current home scoring run among all Champions League participants. Since the 0-0 draw against Sevilla FC in April 2018, spectators at the Arena have witnessed 74 goals for the home team – an average of 2.8 per game.
FCB with good record against Danish teams
Copenhagen visit the Allianz Arena for the first time on Wednesday and will be hoping to improve the record of teams from their country in Munich, as Bayern have won all four of their home matches against Danish sides in European competition to date. However, FCK have never beaten German opposition in 13 competitive meetings with Bundesliga clubs – only APOEL (16) have played against German teams more times in Europe without registering a single victory.
Kane delivering every hour
Harry Kane was the match-winner in the 2-1 success over Galatasaray with both goals, taking his overall tally in the Champions League to 25 goals in just 36 appearances. Only Erling Haaland (20), Ruud van Nistelrooy and Filippo Inzaghi (both 30) have reached this mark quicker in the history of the competition. The Englishman has also provided two assists in this season's campaign, meaning he's been directly involved in a goal every 59 minutes and is joint with Álvaro Morata of Atlético Madrid for the most goal involvements in the Champions League this season.
Fighting until the end
Bayern had to be patient against the Turkish side before Kane's double. With the goals in the 80th and 86th minute, Tuchel's men have now scored in the final quarter of an hour in every Champions League match this season. Five goals from the 76th minute onwards is the top figure in the competition.
