It was a goal for the history books. In FC Bayern's 8-0 thrashing of SV Darmstadt 98 on Bundesliga Matchday 9, Harry Kane scored from over 50 metres in the 69th minute. "I thought to myself, why not take a shot? While the ball was in the air, I just prayed that it would nip in under the crossbar. And luckily it did," said the 30-year-old striker, describing his wonder strike.
78 per cent of the votes went to Kane
Naturally, the German record champions' fans were also amazed by it and voted Kane's goal their FC Bayern Goal of the Month for October by a clear majority (78%). Kingsley Coman's (14%) incredible goal from the touchline against SC Freiburg (3-0) and Giulia Gwinn's (4%) strike against RB Leipzig (3-0) meant they both made it onto the podium.

It's Kane's first fan award in FC Bayern colours. With an incredible tally of no less than 21 goals in 16 competitive matches for the German record champions, more accolades will no doubt not be long in coming.
With his 17 Bundesliga goals, Harry Kane has already overtaken last season's top scorers after just 11 matchdays:
