Harry Kane has defended his title in some style by retaining the Bayern Goal of the Month crown for November. The striker’s brilliant finish in the 14th minute of the 4-2 win over Heidenheim earned him the award for a second straight month after receiving the ball inside the box, holding off his markers and then finishing on the spin.
57 percent for Kane
Bayern fans were suitably impressed and voted in their numbers for Kane, who won with 57 percent. Thomas Müller came second with 22 percent for his goal in the DFB Cup against Saarbrücken, while Klara Bühl claimed third (9 percent) for her finish to make it 2-0 for the Women against Wolfsburg.
Incredible scoring rate
Kane’s strike against Heidenheim was already his 16th in the Bundesliga. He got a second that game to surpass the total of last season’s joint-top scorers in the division, Christopher Nkunku and Niclas Füllkrug, with only 11 games played. Given the England captain’s prolific scoring rate, expect him to be among the nominees for many more Goal of the Month awards too.
