Next magic moment for Musiala
Jamal Musiala marked his 100th Bundesliga appearance with his second headed goal in the competition against Wolfsburg.
Jamal Musiala has never been feared for his heading, but the twinkle-toed attacker proved he can do it with his head as well as his feet in the 33rd minute in Wolfsburg, when he nodded in a cross from Thomas Müller to open the scoring. It was only the second headed goal in the Bundesliga for the Germany international. The first also came against his favourite opponents – the 20-year-old has scored more times against the Wolves (five) than against any other club – at the same place in April 2021. From Musiala's point of view, a special game called for a special kind of goal. That's because the youngster became the first player in Bayern club history to make his 100th Bundesliga appearance before his 21st birthday at VfL, replacing the previous record holders Uli Hoeneß and "Katsche" Schwarzenbeck.
Müller keeps delivering after contract extension

Müller set up both of Bayern's goals, registering his fifth and sixth assists of the campaign. On average he lays on a goal every 80 minutes in the Bundesliga. He also fired the most shots on goal at Wolfsburg (four) and set up the most – over a third of Bayern's 20 attempts at the Volkswagen Arena involved Müller.
Simply no stopping Kane
Harry Kane made it 2-0 at Wolfsburg with a powerful long-distance shot.
The first half of the Bundesliga campaign isn't even over yet and Harry Kane has already surpassed the best of last season. With his 102 km/h long-range strike at Wolfsburg, the leading goalscorer registered his 26th goal involvement of this term (21 goals, five assists), equalling the tally that Randal Kolo Muani had at the end of the 2022/23 season. The England captain has needed just 15 league appearances to reach 21 goals, smashing the record set by Erling Haaland, who netted his 21st goal in his 22nd game. Another record is now in Kane's sights: Robert Lewandowski hit 22 goals for Bayern in the first half of his 41-goal 2020/21 campaign – his successor still has two matches to break that record.
No end to Bayern runs
Bayern were celebrating once again in their last game of 2023 at Wolfsburg.
Bayern ending the year on a high: it's a familar story. After Wednesday's victory at Wolfsburg, it's now 39 years since the Munich men lost their last Bundesliga fixture of the year. The last time it happened was a 3-2 reverse at Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1984. Their opponents in the final fixture before the winter break were the right ones, as Bayern are unbeaten against the Wolves in the Bundesliga in almost nine years. Since a 4-1 loss to VfL in January 2015, there have been 15 wins and two draws.
