Five Bayern players have been nominated for awards at the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony. Harry Kane is up for the Men’s Ballon d'Or, while Glódís Viggósdóttir, Lea Schüller and Giulia Gwinn have made the final shortlist for the Women’s Ballon d’Or. Mathys Tel is also in with a chance of an award after being named among the nominees for the Kopa Trophy for the best young player.
Award on 28 October
The prize for the best male player of the last year is being awarded for the 68th time by French magazine France Football. This will be the sixth edition of the women’s category. As well as the two main awards and the Kopa Trophy, there is also the Gerd Müller Trophy for the world’s best striker in honour of the Bayern legend and the Yashin Trophy for the best goalkeeper. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Paris on 28 October.
