FC Bayern have started their preparations for the upcoming Bundesliga clash against VfB Stuttgart (Saturday, 18.30 CEST) without several internationals who are currently away representing their countries. On Monday afternoon, head coach Vincent Kompany welcomed the remaining Munich-based players including Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller and Leroy Sané to the first of four sessions planned for this week.
There was positive news regarding Mathys Tel, who was able to take part in the training session again. The forward had had to pull out of the France U21 internationals during the week due to shoulder problems. In addition, Dayot Upamecano, who hadn't joined up with the France senior team due to a muscle problem in his thigh, was able to complete an individual session in the morning. Jamal Musiala, on the other hand, who has been sidelined due to hip problems, was not yet able to join them on the pitch on Monday.
